A Floating Palace of Design and Engineering
At first glance, the Energy superyacht commands silence. Stretching 255 feet from bow to stern, this five-deck Amels-built masterpiece embodies a scale of grandeur that few vessels afloat today can rival. Launched in 2022, the yacht is making its way to the Monaco Yacht Show this September, where it will undoubtedly draw eyes as one of the most opulent custom builds to grace the harbor. Despite being only lightly used, the vessel now carries a striking $232 million price tag, a figure that exceeds many new launches yet reflects its extraordinary detail and craftsmanship.
The yacht’s aesthetic brilliance lies in the collaboration of two acclaimed names: Espen Øino, the Norwegian designer behind the exterior, and Paris-based Zuretti Interior Designers, who shaped the interiors. Together, they have created a seamless harmony of elegance and modernity. The silhouette alone suggests power tempered with grace, while inside, every inch is a gallery of light, texture, and artistry. Luxe veneers, statement chandeliers, and bespoke designer fixtures transform spaces into a procession of living environments that feel both sophisticated and welcoming.

With 2,885 gross tons of living space, Energy has been designed with extraordinary attention to both private retreat and social gathering. It accommodates up to 14 guests in seven cabins, each with a standard of finish usually reserved for master suites. The primary suite itself elevates the definition of opulence by boasting panoramic windows, a private terrace with a Jacuzzi, and interiors flowing between a bedroom, an ensuite complete with a grand marble bathtub, and a dressing room large enough to rival couture showrooms.
An Array of Spaces for Leisure and Indulgence
Beyond its sleeping quarters, Energy unfolds like a floating resort. Every deck has been carefully curated for entertainment, wellness, or simple pleasure. The bridge deck, for example, features a music lounge outfitted with a Steinway baby grand piano, a marble-topped bar, and an alfresco space designed for intimate performances or relaxed evening gatherings. For those who favor more active pursuits, the main deck houses a full-size martial arts room, an exceptionally rare inclusion even by superyacht standards.

Dining aboard Energy is no less dramatic. The formal dining room, designed to seat 18 guests beneath dazzling chandeliers, provides a setting where fine cuisine meets theatrical design. The grandeur of the space is heightened by bespoke lighting that seems to cascade from above, creating an atmosphere as ceremonial as it is inviting. A bar located nearby ensures that every feast is accompanied by seamless service and an abundance of conviviality.
Wellness has not been neglected. On the lower deck lies a sanctuary devoted entirely to restoration and care. Guests may move from a sea-facing gym to a spa, complete with a sauna, hammam, and beauty salon, before retreating to the beach club to relax at water level. This layering of experiences ensures that Energy lives up to its name not merely as a vessel of motion but as a source of rejuvenation and vitality for all who step aboard.
The Man Behind the Vessel
The ownership of Energy brings its own layer of fascination. The yacht belongs to Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi, one of Ukraine’s wealthiest businessmen and a figure deeply entwined in the nation’s political and economic fabric. Born in Kyiv, Khoroshkovskyi has built a formidable fortune across a wide spectrum of industries, ranging from metals and banking to media, retail, and manufacturing. In 2005, he acquired a majority stake in Inter TV, one of Ukraine’s largest television channels, in a deal valued at approximately $250 million.

Khoroshkovskyi’s influence extended beyond business into the political sphere. He served as head of the Security Service of Ukraine and later as Minister of Finance, before rising to the post of First Vice Prime Minister by early 2012. His trajectory through these high offices placed him at the nexus of power during a pivotal decade in Ukraine’s modern history. While no longer in public office, his name remains closely tied to the intersection of wealth and politics in the region.

Today, his estimated net worth stands at around $500 million, according to SuperYacht Times. He resides in Koncha-Zaspa, an enclave often described as the “Beverly Hills of Ukraine,” where his estate mirrors the same aura of luxury and grandeur expressed in Energy. For Khoroshkovskyi, the yacht represents not only a possession of remarkable beauty but also a symbol of status and achievement, one now being passed into the hands of its next custodian.
