Ferretti launches Custom Line Saetta 128, a three-deck planing yacht with sky lounge
The Italian builder has floated the first of its new Saetta 128 model, which seats ten guests across four cabins and three outdoor areas, with three more hulls already sold.

Ferretti Group has launched the first Custom Line Saetta 128 at its Superyacht Yard in Ancona on September 30. The 39.80-metre vessel expands the builder’s Saetta family of planing yachts with a trideck design, and three additional hulls are already sold before delivery of this first example.
The yacht prioritises outdoor living and flexible layouts across three decks. SY Design—Matteo Sassone and Veronica Yien—created the exterior design, while interiors came from ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, with Custom Line Atelier providing support on interior styling and bespoke solutions.
Spaces and accommodation
The main deck centres on a 40-square-metre main lounge with integrated dining, connected to a 33-square-metre aft deck for socialising. The owner’s suite sits at the bow, featuring full-height windows and an ensuite bathroom. The upper deck is anchored by a sky lounge of roughly 20 square metres that opens onto a 40-square-metre aft terrace. The sundeck provides 30 square metres for relaxation, with sun loungers and loose furnishings allowing for personalisation.
The lower deck holds four guest cabins—three VIP suites and one guest cabin—providing berths for ten passengers, expandable to eleven with an additional pullman bed. Crew quarters for six, including the captain, sit forward on the lower deck.
Design and propulsion
The exterior presents a sleek, dynamic silhouette. Extensive glazing in the saloons opens views of the seascape while lightening the visual weight of the hull. The first example showcases the Perfect Mood interior concept, featuring finishes in chocolate and mocha tones, walnut and maple wood, white Sivec marble, and textured ivory wallpaper. Furniture with suspended bases creates the visual effect of floating within the spaces.
The Saetta 128 is fitted with twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, each producing 2,638 horsepower. According to preliminary figures, the yacht achieves a top speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 19 knots. The design remains below the 300 gross-tonne threshold.
Environmental certification
The yacht can be certified to IMO Tier III standards through the installation of a Selective Catalytic Reduction system, which Ferretti says reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by up to 70 percent. The builder cited this capability as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability.
