Hyatt expands luxury brands across the Americas with three Park Hyatt hotels in Mexico
The hospitality group is adding a trio of Park Hyatt properties to Mexico while growing The Unbound Collection and Alila brands with independent character properties.

Hyatt Hotels is accelerating its luxury growth across the Americas with a series of openings that reflect a deliberate approach to brand expansion. The strategy centers on giving each property a distinct identity shaped by its location, from beachfront resorts to urban properties in major capitals.
The most concentrated expansion is in Mexico, where the Park Hyatt brand is establishing a three-hotel presence across the country. Park Hyatt Riviera Maya, anticipated to welcome guests by year-end 2026, will mark the first all-inclusive Park Hyatt property worldwide, with à la carte dining and personalized pre-arrival planning set against a secluded Caribbean stretch.
The Unbound Collection and Alila Growth
The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is expanding with properties rooted in regional identity. The Clayfield, situated in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario wine country, uses warm earth tones and natural materials to reflect the area’s viticultural character. Impression Isla Mujeres, an adults-only all-inclusive resort featuring suite accommodations and butler service, joins the collection on November 2.
The Unbound Collection is launching an experiences initiative that offers curated programming grounded in local culture and heritage. Properties including The Georgian, Hotel La Compañía Casco Antiguo and Impression Isla Mujeres will participate, offering guests activities ranging from culinary encounters to direct engagement with regional artists and craftspeople.
Alila expanded to Riviera Maya in February 2026 with Alila Mayakoba, a 60-acre resort with 182 guestrooms, suites and villas spread across beach, lagoon and jungle. The property features six dining destinations, a spa and a wellbeing program informed by local expertise. Beginning October 1, Alila Mayakoba and three other Alila properties will join Erewhon’s Member Lifestyle Collective, connecting the brand to an audience focused on wellbeing and intentional living.
Grand Hyatt Adds Caribbean and Mexican Resorts
Beyond the luxury brands, Grand Hyatt is extending its Americas presence with three properties opening in the fourth quarter of 2026: Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman, Grand Hyatt Cancun and Grand Hyatt Los Cabos. The Cancun and Los Cabos resorts will introduce all-inclusive resort models to the Grand Hyatt offering in the region, according to the announcement.
Hyatt’s approach to this expansion reflects what the company describes as thoughtful growth that maintains the independence of each property. According to Tamara Lohan, the company’s global brand leader for luxury, each hotel is “gracefully designed with thought, taste and elegance” and positioned to serve travelers seeking “more choice while ensuring each hotel has a clear point of view and highly personal service at its center.”
