Blade and Aero relaunch BLADEone jet service between New York and South Florida
The enhanced aviation service returns this November, offering 16-seat commercial jets retrofitted for private travel at a price point between first class and full charter.

Blade Urban Air Mobility, a Joby Aviation subsidiary, and Aero announced the return of BLADEone, a jet service linking the New York area with South Florida, beginning November 19, 2026 and running through May 2, 2027. Flights will depart from Westchester County Airport and arrive at either President Donald J. Trump International Airport in Palm Beach or Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport.
The service uses commercial jets retrofitted to carry 16 passengers in single seats positioned between the cabin windows and aisle. According to Rob Wiesenthal, Blade’s founder and chief executive, BLADEone “sits squarely in the white space between a $1,000 first class seat and a $25,000 private jet charter.”
What distinguishes the service
Passengers bypass the crowded terminals and security queues of commercial flying. In New York, travelers can depart via helicopter from Blade Lounge West on Manhattan’s West Side, landing at Westchester in approximately 10 minutes, or begin their journey at Blade’s private terminal lounge at Westchester. Arrivals in Miami use the Blade–Aero Lounge at Opa-Locka; those heading to Palm Beach use a private terminal at Trump International.
According to the announcement, the aircraft feature Starlink connectivity, custom amenity packages, and onboard dining and bar service. In-cabin service is provided by the SKYfx Team.
The market opportunity
Blade introduced what it calls the Enhanced Aviation category in 2015 with a New York-Miami route.
BLADEone flights are operated through USAC Airways 695, an Aero subsidiary. Ben Klein, chief executive of Aero, said the two companies tested their partnership over the summer with a Los Angeles to East Hampton service. “We’re excited to be combining forces with Blade to bring the same experience and precision we’re known for on the West Coast to the East Coast,” Klein said.
Positioning between luxury segments
The service bridges two distinct travel categories. Wiesenthal positioned BLADEone as more economical than chartering an entire aircraft while commanding a premium over standard first-class seating on commercial carriers.
