Ferrari 499P heads to Asian Le Mans Series with AF Corse and Cetilar Racing
Two Italian teams will race the hypercar in the 2026–27 championship, with Cetilar fielding a Le Mans-winning driver and celebrating a decade in endurance racing.
The Ferrari 499P will make its debut in the Asian Le Mans Series this autumn, with two Italian teams entering the Hypercar class for the 2026–27 season. AF Corse and Cetilar Racing have both committed to the championship, marking the latest chapter for the Italian manufacturer’s top-tier endurance prototype following three campaigns in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
Cetilar Racing will field the number 47 car with support from AF Corse, its driver roster anchored by Antonio Fuoco, a Ferrari factory driver who won the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans. Roberto Lacorte and Nicola Lacorte complete the lineup. The entry carries special significance for Cetilar: 2026 marks the tenth anniversary of the team’s first Le Mans appearance in June 2017. Between 2017 and 2021, the squad raced at the French endurance classic five times. The team also finished second overall in the 2025–26 Asian Le Mans Series.
He noted the timing of the milestone coinciding with a decade of participation at Le Mans as a mark of the team’s growth and success in major endurance championships. Cetilar plans to unveil the number 47 livery at the end of October.
AF Corse enters with an international crew
AF Corse’s number 90 Ferrari 499P will be shared by Luís Pérez Companc, Nicklas Nielsen and Yifei Ye. Nielsen, who has competed in LMP2 alongside Companc, welcomed the opportunity to step up to Hypercar racing. “I’m very happy to be racing in the Asian Le Mans Series with Luís and Yifei,” Nielsen said. “It’s always nice to drive the 499P, so I’m looking forward to trying a new environment.”
First round in November
The 2026–27 Asian Le Mans Series comprises six rounds. The opening event takes place on 13–15 November at Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France.
